In 2013, global trading volume of thread spinner maintained at a high level. However, quantity of most of categories descended. Compared with 2012, new staple spindle was increased by 10% while rotor spinning was decreased by 2%. Long fiber spindle was decreased by 45%. Otherwwase, new tensile-deformation spindle was decreased by 29%. New shuttleless loom was decline by 4% and new electric flat knitting machine was decreased by 24%. The trading volume of new circular knitting machine in 2013 was flat with 2012.

Above data come from the 36th The Annual Trade Statistics of International Textile Machinery published by ITMF (International Textile Manufactures Federation). The report contained 6 types of textile machinery – spinning machinery, draw texturing machine, weaving machine, circular knitting machine, flat knitting machine and after finishing machinery. Statistics of 2013 is the result of cooperation between 117 textile machinery manufacturers, representing comprehensive estimate of global output.

Circular knitting machine and flat knitting machine
Total trading volume of circular knitting machine rose from 28,900 in 2011 to 36,640, increased by 27%, setting a new historic record. Trading volume of circular knitting machine was 36,575 in 2013, staying the same as 2012. Asia was still the main buyer whose trading volume was 33,440, accounting for 91% of total trading volume in 2013. China was the largest buyer whose total trading volume was 27,460, accounting for 75% of total trading volume. The next were India, Turkey, Bangladesh, Indonesia whose respective total trading volume were 1,600, 1,490, 910 and 850, accounting for 4.4%, 4.1%, 2.5% and 2.3%.

In 2012, computer flat knitting machine was 46,100, decreased by 34%. In 2013, global trading volume of flat knitting machine continued falling to 35,180, decreased by 24%. Most of computer knitting machines were sent to Asia (30,300, accounting for 86%). The next was Europe including Turkey (4,350, accounting for 12%). China was still the largest buyer whose purchase reached to 20,800, accounting for 59%) followed by Bangladesh, Turkey, Hong Kong and Italia, purchasing 3,960 (11.3%), 2,790 (7.9%), 1,850 (5.3%) and 790 (2.3%).

Spinning machinery
Total trading volume of new staple spindle was raised sharply by 75% in 2010 and continued being increased by 75 in 2011 reached to 14.33 million, reaching to the highest historic level after descending by 33% and 17% in 2008 and 2009. In 2012, staple spindle was 10.51 million fallen by 27% while increased by 10% in 2013, reaching to 11.56 million. In 2013, 93% of delivery staple spindles (10.72 million) were sent to Asia. China was 6.21 million accounting for 84%, followed by India, Indonesia, Turkey and Pakistan, purchasing 2.19 million, 7.57 hundred thousand, 5.66 hundred thousand and 5.46 hundred thousand respectively, accounting for 19%, 6.6%, 4.9% and 4.7%.

In 2013, global trading volume of long fiber spindle fell from 1.464 hundred thousand to 8.08 ten thousand, decreased by 45%. Europe was the largest buyer, buying 4.99 ten thousand accounting for 62% of total trading volume. The next were Asia and America whose trading volume were 2.89 ten thousand and 1,900 respectively, accounting for 36% and 2.4%. Based on countries, Turkey is the largest investor, buying 3.43 ten thousand, accounting for 43%. The next were China, Romania, Italia and Poland, buying 2.65 ten thousand, 6,050, 5,000 and 2,900, accounting for 33%, 8%, 6% and 4% respectively.

Trading volume of rotor spinning was 4.432 hundred thousand, decreased slightly by 2% in 2013. Asia was still the largest investor, reaching to 3.514 hundred thousand, accounting for 79%. According to countries, China is the largest purchaser, buying 2.717 hundred thousand, accounting for 79%. India is the second largest purchaser, buying 4 ten thousand, accounting for 7%. The following were Turkey, Brazil, Vietnam and Malaysia, purchasing 2.86 ten thousand, 1.38 ten thousand, 1.37 ten thousand and 1.20 ten thousand, accounting for 6.5%, 3.1%, 3.1% and 2.7% respectively.

Elasticizer
During 2010 to 2011, global trading volume of elasticizer was reduced from 1.32 ten thousand to 1,824, decreased by 86%. In 2012, single heater stretch-textured yarn spindle which is mainly used for nylon filament did not have any transaction records. In 2013, trading volume of the machinery reached to 2,600. Among 2,120 machineries were sold to Asia (China, Taiwan and Thailand were 960, 840 and 320 respectively). 480 machineries were sold to Europe and other countries (Turkey).

Weaving machinery
In 2013, global trading volume of weaving machinery was reduced from 86,450 to 83,420, decreased by 4%. The falling main reasons were that trading volume of hydraulic loom continued falling. In 2010, global trading volume of shuttleless loom reached to 73,250, increased sharply by 53% and continued increasing to 1.129 hundred thousand. Because of more weaving machine manufacturers reported their own output in 2010.
