Introduction:
Texpo Eurasia has been held successfully for 11 times. Korea, India and Turkey are the second, forth and sixth largest yarns export market for China. Export value was 2.5 hundred million dollars, 1.5 hundred million dollars and I hundred million dollars from January to April, increasing by 82.49%, 50.45% and 149.03% respectively on year-on-year basis. According to the statistics of China Customs, total yarns import-export value was 4.679 billion dollars from January to April, 2014, rising by 42.95% on year-on-year basis. Among that, export value was 2.9525 billion dollars, increasing by 43.65% on year-on-year basis. Total export volume was 9.977 hundred thousand tons, increasing by 35.25% on year-on-year basis. Average export price is 2.93 dollars per kilogram, rising by 6.21% on year-on-year basis. Import value was 1.753 billion dollars, increasing by 41.79%. In 1960’s and 1970’s, depending on cheap raw materials and labor force, Turkey became one of main clothing exporters for Europe. From early of 1980’s to 1999, Turkish clothing export value increased from 1.6 hundred million dollars to 10 billion dollars in les than 20 years.

Turkish Textile and Apparel Exporters Association predict that textile and clothing export value will increase by 8% at least, reaching 19 billion dollars. Clothing exported from Turkey to Italy, Spain and Britain will have a significant growth rate. Export value to Bangladesh and Pakistan will reach 1.7 hundred million dollars and 90 million dollars, rising by 43.29% and 30.48% respectively. Export value to Korea and India will also have a high growth. Turkish textile industry has already adapted to the high requirement for quality, environmental conservation and security in Europe. The quality of products has been improved. Manufacturers decide to forge Turkish textile and clothing into high quality so that products have high price due to made in Turkey.  

Turkey is the second largest source country of textile and clothing for Europe. The U.S. is another huge market next to Europe. Textile and clothing from Turkey account for 2.9% and 1.9% in the U.S. market. Besides the U.S. and Europe, Turkish textile and clothing are popular in Arab and the East Europe. Turkey was a cotton net exporter. However, from 1992, the situation changed. Turkey has changed into a cotton importer. Because high domestic demands for cotton is increasing constantly, having already exhausted several years’ inventory. Beside cotton, Turkey also needs amount of wool, man-made fiber and other raw materials.
