Printing on elastic knitted fabrics mainly used for swimwear should have good color fastness and light fastness, bright colors. Meanwhile, because of knitted fabrics, good elasticity brings obstacles to correct position of printing. No matter it is platen printing or rotary scream printing, fabrics preparation and cloth sticking should be noticed. Meanwhile, intrinsic elasticity and wearability of knitted fabrics should be kept after printing.

Direct printing and discharge printing mainly use acid dyes and direct dyes. Pigment resin printing can use coatings provides by BASF Corporation or other coatings with high tinctorial yield, making printing on chinlon knitted fabrics having bright colors.

The technological process of printing on elastic knitted fabrics:

Tips for printing:
1. Stentering should be carried out before printing, based on requirements of finished products. The thickness of pulp on bypass should be noticed during sizing. If it is too thick, the thickness of inner pulp will increase and form deep side. If it is too thin, it will be difficult for fixing bypass. Hemming will be formed during cloth sticking and aging.
2. The importance of cloth sticking. Especially, hemming cannot occur on knitted fabrics. Tension should be uniform. Less tension are used for cloth sticking to ensure consistent warp elongation.
3. The cloth is risen and steadily sent to drying room after printing. Regulate the tension of rising so that hemming cannot occur when the cloth enters into drying room.
4. Printing cropping adopts loosen flat cropping. The cloth cannot be pressed and accompany with printing and aging.
