Yarn dyeing is the special type of dyeing process. Yarns are dyed in package form or hank form by yarn dyeing process which differs from woven and knit dyeing slightly. Dyed yarns are used as raw materials for stripe knit, woven fabrics, solid dyes yarn fabric or in sweater manufacturing.
Followings are the procedures of yarn dyeing:
Soft winding→batching→yarn dyeing in package form→hydro extractor→dryer→random section→packing and delivery.
Soft Winding: Soft winding is the first step of yarn dyeing. Soft winding transfers yarns from paper cone to plastic tube or steel tube for facilities the yarn dyeing process. Accelerating package yarn dyeing is impossible without soft winding. Different parameters are maintained during soft winding.
Batching: Batching yarns must be based on count, lot, types and other requirements. A batch containing essential information of batching is formed.
Dyeing: Based on the approved sample dyeing recipe, dyeing is carried out. Various parameters are kept during dyeing. Dyed yarn shade is taken out from the dyeing bath when it is mached with the approved sample.
Hydro Extractor: Hydro extractor is used to remove excess water from the yarn. Then, yarn package is sent to the dryer.
Dryer: Dryer is used to dry the remaining water on the dyed yarn.
Random section: In this section, yarns having been dyed and dried are transferred into plastic tube or steel tube. After then, finishing materials are applied to the yarn.
Packing and delivery: After random section, dyed yarns are inspected by the quality inspector. The yarns will be packed and ready for delivery if they are qualified.
