The 16th International Exhibition on Textile Industry, organized byShanghai Textile Holding (Group) Company, Shanghai International Trade Promotion Committeeand Shanghai International Chamber of Commerce; Undertaken by Shanghai Textile TechnologyService & Exhibition Center, Shanghai International Exhibition Service Co., Ltd., and Hong KongAdsale Exhibition Services Ltd. will be held on 10th-13th June 2013 at Shanghai New International Expo Center with scale of 100,000 square meters.

Industry Background
As China is the big country in textile production and export, China’s textile industry has stong competitive advantages after years of development, with the most completitive industrial chain,the highest processing level , numbers of developed industrial clusters to deal with market risks and grow self-regulating capacity , to rovide a solid guarantee to maintain a steady development of the industry.

In January-November 2007, the above-scaled textile enterprises realized a total industrial output value RMB1,690,091,131,000 with an increase of 21.46% over the same period last year;achieved total salesIncome RMB 1,625,893,972,000 with an increase of 21.22% over the same period last year; cumulated total profit of RMB 61,878,749,000 with an increase of 31.27% over the same period last year. In January-February 2008, the above-scaled texitle enterprises realized a total industrial output value of RMB 270,235,318,000 with an increase of 16.44% over the same period last year; achieved total sales revenue RMB 255,274,904, 000 with an increase of 17.08% over the same period last year; cumulated total profit of RMB 7,551,666,000 with an increase of 17.14% over the same period last year. As of the end of February 2008, the number of above-scaled texitle enterprises has reached to be more than 28,174.

From the international environment, there is still a large space of development and opportunity at the international market. With the end of 2007 China-EU textile restrictions expiring, and the end of 2008 China-USA textile quota restrictions ending. The time of no quota era for Chinese textile product is coming, accounting for the full liberalization of the global textile market with more than 60% share of the region. And in the next few years, the world economy will continue upwarding, that is bound to promote the growth of international trade. All that above will bring great opportunities to Chinese textile trading with a favorable international market protection.

From the domestic economic environment, domestic demand will become an important driver of industry growth. At present, about 80% of Chinese textile products in under the domestic consumption.With the sustained and rapid growth of the domestic economy, the further development of the domestic market will be boosted by the stability income increase.
