Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has announced that by the Association’s 25th Bangladesh Apparel and Textile Exhibition (BATEXPO) will be September 16, 2014 – held in Paris, France on the 18th, which will the exhibition was first held overseas.
The exhibition will attract 75 BGMEA member companies and 25 non-member companies to participate. The exhibition held annually, to enhance the Bangladesh garment exports played a larger role. The choice held in Paris, the organizers hope that through based on the French market, radiation, other European and Latin American countries such as Argentina and Brazil. According to the Bangladesh Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) statistics, in July 2013 – May 2014, Bangladesh apparel exports 22.178 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 14.83%. Among them, France exports 1.396 billion U.S. dollars in the country’s total exports of clothing, knitwear exports to $ 869 million, woven garment exports to $ 527 million.
