Super Imitation Cotton Passed Technology Acceptance

On 27th June, Experts Acceptance Committee authorized by National Science and Technology Department held technology acceptance conference relating to the Technology Development of New Super Imitation Cotton-PET Polyester Fiber Manufacture Industry. The committee agreed to pass this project after series of investigation and discussion.

The main ingredient of super imitation cotton is polyester, which accounts for 85% of the all materials. It is a kind of differently functional polyester fiber, divided into filament imitation cotton and short fiber imitation cotton.

This project was jointly undertaken by 11 organizations and enterprises including China Textile Academy, Donghua University and Yizheng Chemical Fiber Company. They strived to finish the structure design of super imitation PET polyester, and to work out precise accretion and effective dispersion of modifier. Some critical technology issues such as high capacity continuous polymerization and stable spinning are also settled. They exploited continuous polymerization spinning industrial technology for easy-dyeing polyester, hydrophilic polyester and hydrophilic polyester. The product standard of super imitation cotton-polyester fiber is enacted. All these lead to the steady production of super imitation cotton-polyester fiber on a large scale.

Short fiber of super imitation cotton produced by Yizheng Chemical Fiber Company was named Yilun. This product is made on the bases of current natural fiber and synthetics. Features like soft, comfortable and anti-pilling and wrinkle resistance make this product the ideal raw material for the upgrade and innovation of fabrics and non-woven cloth.
